The way in which we work with residential clients is as diverse as the striking homes that we build. Some clients come to us with plans in hand drawn by their architect. Others have an idea in their mind but need Brooker Builders come on board right at the start and work with the client’s architect or recommend one of the fine architects that we have worked with previously.
Metung
Building an award winning home in the prestigious lakeside village of Metung, demands a high quality build and attention to detail throughout the lengthy construction period. This home consists of a new single-storey residence with a two storey component including courtyard block with distinctive stone walls.
McKenzie St Lucknow
This is a magnificent home which is located within the town of Bairnsdale yet boasts exceptional rural views. The contemporary design incorporates modern fixtures and fittings.
A key feature both internally and externally are the rock walls which have been crafted by a local stone mason utilising Gippsland stone. Elsewhere inside there are polished concrete floors with local timber used in the flooring and impressive entrance way doors.
Lindenow
The Lindenow Valley offers a stunning vista, rarely equalled in rural living. Brooker Builders delivered a single storey construction with a blue board rendered finish and Austral cladding. The finishes and fittings were selected to provide a high-quality look that is understated. Native spotted gum timber flooring was installed to the living areas and hallways.

Lakes Entrance
Located high on the bluff overlooking Lakes Entrance, the Gippsland Lakes and Bass Strait this project was architecturally designed, tendered and project managed. The structure is steel and timber with high quality finishes used both internally and externally.
Brooker Builders worked in close conjunction with SLAP Architects to manage pre-construction, during construction and post construction stages of the project.
Bancroft Bay, Metung
Widely held as one of the most prominent locations in Metung, this residence sits on a point, bounded by Bancroft Bay and Chinaman’s Creek. Unfolding before this elevated position are exceptional views of the iconic Gippsland Lakes.
The location alone demanded an exceptional home. The building is deliberately low profile with wide side eaves and low pitch roof incorporated to accentuate this feature.
The Beach Paynesville
Located on the Gippsland Lakes, this project boasts an absolute waterfront location. An extensive use of glass together with open air decks that extends the house to the waterway, sets this property apart.
Given the nature of the architectural process, Brooker Builders worked in conjunction with SLAP Architects to create a design which exceeded the client’s expectations.
